Last call for Books & T-shirts!
"Chase the Lion" books & t-shirts
Chase the LionThis Sunday is the last call to buy a "Chase the Lion" book or to place an order for a "Chase the Lion" t-shirt.  Books & t-shirt order forms are available at the welcome table in the lobby of the church.
Special Business Meeting

MCC will be having a Special Business Meeting this Sunday, following the Morning Worship service.  There sill be a recommendation from the Elders and Pastor Denny to call Bobby Reed as a part time ministry intern.  Pastor Denny will also be presenting the Protege Program in addition to the recommendation.
"Praise in the Park"
 
Join the Monroeville Community Church Worship team this Sunday evening at 6 pm for "PRAISE IN THE PARK"   This inspiring concert event will feature music from various churches in Monroeville. Also participating are The Life church worship Team, St Bernadettes Catholic Church contemporary Choir and "Four men of Grace" from Grace Baptist Church. The music will start at 6pm and go to 8pm.

The public is invited to bring a picnic basket and blankets or chairs.  The concert will be held at the Park amphitheater, located in the Monroeville Community Park on Tilbrook road behind Gateway High School.

"Discovering MCC " Class 101
Membership Class

At MCC, your first step to connectedness is to find out more about us through CLASS 101. Being a part of a church family is actually one of God's purposes for your life.  Class 101 will cover: The Symbols of Salvation: Baptism & Lord's Supper; Our Purpose Statement; Our Mission Statement; Our Vision Statement; Our Priorities; How & Why our Church is Structured; What it Means to be a Member of Monroeville Community Church.  This class will be coming in October!
Women's Sunday Morning Bible Study

The Women's Bible Study on Sunday morning is going to begin a new study.  We will be going through "The Story."  "The Story" is the actual, God-breathed words of the Bible.  Each chapter was thoughtfully and carefully excerpted and then placed in chronological order.  The texts were chosen to retain the overall flow of the narrative, so that when you read this story, you will get a sense of the "big picture" of the Bible.  Here are some examples of what is covered:
 
Chapter 1: The Beginning of Life as We Know It (Genesis 1 - 4; 6 - 9)
 
Chapter 2: God Builds a Nation (Genesis 12 - 13; 15 - 17; 21 - 22; 32 - 33; 35;  Romans 4; Hebrews 11
 
Chapter 22: The Birth of the King (Matthew 1 - 2; Luke 1 - 2; John 1)
 
Chapter 30: Paul's Final Days (Acts 20 - 23; 27 - 28; Ephesians 1-6; 2 Timothy 1 - 4)
 
We will cover a chapter a week (approximately 10 pages) and discuss it in the class.  The cost of the book is $8.

Steel Sharpens Steel Steel Sharpens Steel (MCC's Men's Group) next meeting will be October 12th at 6 pm.  They will be starting the Chasing Daylight bible study. 

All Men, single or married, of ALL ages, younger or older, are invited to join us for a time of Inspiration, Motivation & Fellowship as men.

Chasing Daylight is a biblical account of Israel's war with the Philistines (1 Samuel 13 - 14) and the characters of Jonathan and Saul to demonstrate the differences between living  a life of purpose and adventure, and living one of apathy and missed opportunity.

Through this story, Chasing Daylight artfully illustrates the eight characteristics of an adventurer's heart, what it calls the "Jonathan factor."

Chasing Daylight uses powerful examples, along with with fresh biblical teaching to assert that God crafts divine moments specific to each of us - priceless opportunities for us to actively engage in God's big-picture plan.
Midweek Worship & Prayer
Pause to Pray

Pause to PrayWorship and prayer are two of the most important things we can do to let God know that we love Him.  Every Wednesday MCC gathers together for just that purpose, to worship and pray together as a church family.  Come join us Wednesday evening at 6:45 PM as we spend time together with God.

Christmas Musical

Finding the Christmas StarThis year's Christmas musical/drama will be for both children and youth 1st through 12th grade.

Rehearsals will be the 1st & 3rd Sundays in the church Fellowship Hall during the morning worship hour.  We will also be meeting every Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM - 8 PM.
